A Small statuette of Peter Paul Rubens after Michael Rysbrack.
Mid 18th Century carved Ivory Statuette.
Paired with the statuette of Anthony van Dyck (see below).
After the original by Michael Rysbrack of 1743.
Attributed to Gaspar van der Hagen or Verskovis

Approx. 20cms tall.

with Tomasso Brothers.

The Tomasso's suggest an attribution to Verskovis (Verskovers), but I would like to suggest an alternative in Gaspar van der Hagen, There is no doubt that van der Hagen worked in the studios of Rysbrack and it would appear that Verskovis also had close connections with Rysbrack..
